Perhaps most perplexing is why Roland would remove the SRX expansion boards from the Fantom G . As a Fantom S owner, I was hoping for more SRX slots, so if I were to replace my Fantom S with a G , I’d actually lose a lot of sounds. Yet the ARX expansion options hold a lot of promise.
12/2/2008 · Sinevibes has announced that the Organics sound expansion for Roland Fantom – G series is now available.. This library is based on a custom sample bank and makes the Fantom – G sound much different than with the factory waveforms. All sounds have an organic, live character: featured are synths, basses, pads, atmospheres and motion sounds, as well as electric pianos, bells, hits and chords.
Roland in recent years has really been adding value to their products by releasing free expansion libraries. Last month they updated their Axial site with a full library of 15 expansions for the Fantom , which seem to be virtual versions of the previous SRX expansion library cards.
